NYRR Charity Program Application

NYC Half-Marathon, March 20, 2011

New York Road Runners offers worthy 501(c)(3) charities the opportunity to secure a limited number of guaranteed entries into the ING New York City Marathon and the NYC Half-Marathon. Guaranteed entries provide accepted charities with both a significant fundraising opportunity and great exposure for their cause at these international events.
 
If interested in participating, please complete the online application by November 1, 2010 for the NYC Half-Marathon and January 15, 2011 for the ING New York City Marathon. After the application period closes, New York Road Runners will contact each charity to further discuss our program. If you have any questions, please email charities@nyrr.org. [Apply]
 
For the ING New York City Marathon, NYRR offers various levels of partnership.  
 
Bronze Level includes:

  • Guaranteed entry into the ING New York City Marathon
  • Listing within the charities section of the ING New York City Marathon website (charity name, logo, and link to charity webpage promoting the Marathon and your program)
  • Promotion of Bronze Level program within emails promoting charity running
  • Discounted advertising in New York Runner magazine
  • A minimum of 20 entries
  • Bronze Level entries fee of $550 per entry (which excludes the runners’ event entry fee)
Silver Level includes:
  • Guaranteed entry into the ING New York City Marathon
  • VIP Bus to Marathon Start
  • Branded Charity Tent within “Charity Village” at Marathon Start area
  • Priority placement within the charities section of the ING New York City Marathon website (charity name, logo, 2-3 paragraphs of text and link to charity webpage promoting the Marathon and your program)
  • Promotion of Silver Level program within emails promoting charity running
  • Full page ad in the Spring, Summer, or Fall issue of New York Runner magazine
  • A minimum of 50 entries
  • Silver Level entries fee of $975 per entry (which excludes the runners’ event entry fee)
Community Charity Program
  • 5 Guaranteed entries into the ING New York City Marathon
  • Listing within the charities section of the ING New York City Marathon website (organization name only)
  • NYRR will put an emphasis on selecting smaller organizations based within NYC
  • Community Charity Level entries fee of $725 per entry (which excludes the runners’ event entry fee)
For the NYC Half-Marathon, NYRR offers a Charity Partner Program.  Benefits include:
  • Guaranteed entry into the NYC Half-Marathon
  • Listing within the charities section of the NYC Half-Marathon website (charity name, logo, and link to charity webpage promoting the NYC Half-Marathon and your program)
  • Promotion of Charity Program within emails promoting charity running to runners who were not selected in the event lottery
  • Discounted advertising in New York Runner magazine
  • A minimum of 20 entries
  • Charity entries fee of $225 per entry (which excludes the runners event entry fee)
